The Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act assures a contractor's validity, adequate current insurance and any prior legal issues.

If the contract does not contain the following 4 items in writing: - 800 Number for Bureau of Consumer Protection - Right to Rescind Contract within 3 days of signing - Dollar Amount of Liability Insurance Coverage - PA HIC (Home Improvement Contractor) number issued by the state THE CONTRACT IS NOT LEGAL IN THE STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA
